Taking a step into the unknown

Have you ever stood at the edge of a major life change, staring into a future you couldn't predict? Whether it is moving to a new city, starting a new job, or navigating an unexpected personal trial, the unknown can feel incredibly daunting. It is completely natural to feel a wave of anxiety when the path ahead is hidden from view. But as believers, the unknown is not a place of fear; it is the very terrain where our faith comes alive.

When God called Abraham to leave his homeland, He didn’t give him a detailed itinerary or a five-year plan. He simply told him to go. Scripture reminds us of the posture we need for these moments:

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6

Walking with Jesus means accepting that we won’t always see the destination, but we can completely trust the One who is leading the way. Even when we cannot fathom how things will work out, we can rest in His ultimate authority:

For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

Every challenging situation is a fresh possibility to experience God's absolute faithfulness. When our personal resources feel empty, and the road gets dark, that is precisely where His grace overflows.

Stepping into the unknown doesn't mean you have to step into isolation. We are created for community, designed to lift each other, share our testimonies, and carry one another’s burdens.

If you are standing on the brink of a new season, take courage. Do not let fear paralyse your potential, because the Lord has explicitly commanded us to move forward boldly:

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9

The person of Jesus Christ is our common factor, and He has already walked into your tomorrow. Secure your heart in His truth, take that next courageous step, and watch how He opens doors you never thought possible.
